Quinine blocks the Cx36 and Cx50 junction currents in a reversible and concentration-dependent manner, with a semi-maximum blocking concentration of 32mM and 73mM, respectively. Quinine induces a slow transition from an open and completely closed state, which reduces the probability of the channel opening. Quinine blocks certain types of gap connection channels, including the formation of neurons through Cx36. Quinine, a K-channel blocker, prevents the formation of tumor necrosis causers (TNFs) and subsequent liver DNA fragmentation and liver enzyme leakage. Quinine causes the Fos-like immune response (FLI) to be concentrated in the inner third cell nucleus; Acids cause wider distribution of FLI concentrations farther horizontally. Quinine has a relatively weak effect on dooxorubicin accumulation, but fully restores the sensitivity of amycin in drug-resistant cells. Quinine also modified the accumulation of doxorubicin in cells, which indicates a modified distribution of intracellular drugs. Quinine primarily blocks voltage dependence in whole-cell potassium current (IK). Quinine has also used dependency to reduce sodium current (INa), while leaving calcium current (ICA) relatively unaffected.
