Prulando sugar is a kind of extracellular water-soluble viscose produced by the fermentation of budding short terrier mold, also known as short stalk mold polysaccharide, moldy polysaccharide, English name Pullu-lan, transliterated as Prulan. It was 1938 by R. Bauer found a special microbial polysaccharide. The polysaccharide is mainly made up of malt trisaccharides connected by α-1,6 glycoside bonds. Molecular weight is generally between 4.8x10 and 2.2x10 (the average molecular weight of commercial Prudhosia sugar 2x105. Consisting of approximately 480 malt trisaccharides). The polysaccharide has a unique structure and properties, is structurally elastic and has a relatively large solubility. The filmability, gas resistance, plasticity and viscosity of Prulando sugar are strong, and have excellent properties such as soluble in water, non-toxic harmless, colorless tasteless, etc., and have a wide range of applications in the pharmaceutical, food, petroleum, chemical and other industries. Because it can be used by microbial degradation in nature, will not cause environmental pollution, so it is known as pollution-free plastic.
