Meglumine chemistry is called N-methylglucamine, white to faintly yellowish-white crystals or powder. Melting point of 128-129 ℃. Soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol (25 ℃ in 100 ml of ethanol soluble 1.2 g, 70 ℃ when soluble 21 g), almost insoluble in chloroform. The taste is sweet and salty. Meglumine is an amino sugar derived from sorbitol. Meglumine can enhance the lipid soluble of adenosine cyclic phosphate,so that it can play a maximum pharmacological role.
