Pterostilbene, also called trans-3,5-dimethoxy-4-hydroxystilbene, is white to off white powder. Pterostilbene is a methylated stilbene molecule with structural similarity to resveratrol, and the part pharmacological action is similar to resveratrol, but it also has strong antifungal activity with five times that of resveratrol.
Researches show that pterostilbene has excellent antioxidant property,modulation of neurological disease, anticarcinogenesis, Pterostilbene may help lower blood pressure, attenuation of vascular disease, and amelioration of diabetes. and it may scavenge oxidative free radicals, and boost energy for cells.
