Uridine monophosphate, also known as 5'-uridylic acid disodium salt, UMP.  it is a nucleotide that  used as a monomer in RNA. It is an ester of phosphoric acid with the nucleoside uridine. 
Uridine monophosphate is a ribonucleoside monophosphate that consists of the phosphate group, the pentose sugar ribose, and the nucleobase uracil;

Uridine monophosphate is a naturally occurring substance that is manufactured in the liver. Technically, it is considered to be a nucleoside which simply means that it contains a nucleic acid with a pyrimidine base. This also bonds together to an alcohol group of a sugar. more simply, it is one of the four basic components of RNA (Ribonucleic Acid)
