Deflazacort CAS 14484-47-0, white to off- white powder. Deflazacort is the third generation of glucocorticoid used as an anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressant. Deflazacort is an inactive prodrug which is metabolized rapidly to the active drug 21-desacetyldeflazacort. The effect is 40 times that of hydrocortisone, equivalent to 10~20 times that of prednisone, mainly has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergy, increase glycogen heterogeneous and other effects. Defluoroote has no mutagenesis.

Deflazacort is in a class of medications called corticosteroids. It works by reducing inflammation (swelling) and by changing the way the immune system works.
